Stoke Mandeville: Music
The Paralympic Heritage Flame Lighting Ceremony for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games took place at Stoke Mandeville, the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement. This symbolic event featured a performance titled "The Seeds of Diversity," telling the story of how the initial games in 1948 led to a global movement. Dan Jones' original music scored the ceremony, providing the musical narrative as the flame was lit before embarking on its journey to be combined with flames from Brazil, fulfilling its role in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Torch Relay.
