Hull UK City of Culture Opening Event: music and sound design The opening extravaganza of Hull City of Culture 2017, "We Are Hull" was a large-scale sound and light projection event telling the story of Hull's history. The visual animations by Zsolt Balogh were projected onto buildings in Queen Victoria Square including Hull City Hall, with a surround sound and music score by Dan Jones. It was a free, unticketed event that attracted over 300,000 visitors.
