Edinburgh: Music by Dan Jones and Meute; Supervising Sound Design Edinburgh's world-famous Hogmanay New Year's Eve celebrations in 2019 featured a spectacular midnight fireworks display from Edinburgh Castle. The pyrotechnic show was choreographed to a unique soundtrack: a symphonic augmentation by Dan Jones of four songs by German techno marching band Meute, featuring the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Dan and his team also oversaw and produced music and sound design that spanned across the entire festival site to many different stages and areas. This included the expansive Street Party (hosted by The Mac Twins with multiple stages), the Concert in the Gardens (headlined by Mark Ronson), the communal "Big Sing," and the "Big Dance," ensuring a cohesive and immersive sonic experience throughout the renowned New Year's Eve event.
